OUTFITTER LOGIC
The history of how Outfitter Logic came to be is a long one, the short version is, we’ve learned a few things over the past few decades of doing hunting outfitter website design.
Web design nowadays has become “easy”. When I say easy, I mean there are A LOT of editors, software, apps, etc. that will build you a website. Some, you can even make pretty darn pretty without much experience. It’s usually cheap, and it works in a pinch.
The reality, is if you have website design on a “build it and hope they come” approach, it rarely does.
There are a handful of ways guys find outfitters today, for the most part. Referrals are usually the best. If you have a client who had a good hunting experience, they’re usually going to tell their buddies.
Those can dry up, so outside of the inside connections,
how do most people seek out a hunting outfitter?
Searching the web. This isn’t new, but I’m often amazed how often it’s still overlooked.
If you’re a big game outfitter in say, Colorado for example, people are going to use Google (or Bing) to search for outfitters offering what they’re looking for.
The result, is usually the following:
These are the “pay to play” ads that are offered by Google (Google Ads). They offer up to 4 ads, per page, at the top of the results. While there are times where this type of advertising is necessary, the truth is, MOST of our hunting outfitter clients DO NOT use Google Ads.
They’re VERY expensive, especially when they’re not setup properly. And a lot of people overlook the paid section anyways, so it becomes wasted marketing dollars. The best ROI in online marketing still is search engine optimization.
This is the section of Google Business Profiles of various hunting outfitters. If you don’t know anything about this section, you should! It’s virtually as important as your website marketing in a lot of cases. And if you don’t know what you’re doing, it can get your profile suspended.
We manage a lot of Google Business Profiles here at Outfitter Logic, and from experience, we feel it’s in your best interest to let a company who’s experience to manage your profile. If nothing else, some proper guidance or training I feel is essential.
This is where our website design shines. While the goal is of course, always #1 for any keyword phrase you offer, the reality is it’ll always be Google’s sandbox. Variables change, and so do the results. The key to solid hunting outfitter website design is to do sound web design, based on long-standing tactics that have been proven winners. I say it all the time, those that repeatedly show up at the top of the search engine results are NOT by accident.
Ideally, your best ROI is to rank in that 3-pack AND/OR rank high in the organic search results. When properly placed for the right keyword phrases, the end result can be A LOT of leads and booked hunts.
Here at Outfitter Logic, we track each and every outfitters website design to ensure the traffic AND conversions are there. Conversions are phone calls, emails, and booked hunts off your website calendar. When we get outfitters literally asking us to “tone it down”, it’s a compliment.
We have a client that has a 4-year waiting list to even visit the hunting operation. And all based off online marketing.
At the end of the day, SEO (Search Engine Optimization) works. Only so many people can rank highly and those who do aren’t on accident.
We feel we have the right ingredients for outfitter website design that simply works. Collecting and managing leads, clients, paperwork, etc into one organized machine will help you efficiently and effectively grow your business.
Most outfitters we work with simply are too busy or tired to deal with all this. That’s where we come into play, offering our white-glove service for each and every outfitter we serve.
We’d love to have you here at Outfitter Logic, give us a shout and we’ll get your marketing moving in the right direction.
